On border security, Matthew supports re-establishing border security measures, reinstating the "Remain in Mexico" policy for asylum seekers, deporting aliens who commit crimes, and ending sanctuary cities and states.

On national defense, Matthew is against protracted military engagements promoting "nation building" in favor of rebuilding our military to face 21st Century challenges. He wants America to treat Iran as an adversary that enables international terrorism instead of the "kid gloves" treatment they now receive. He also wants America to support Israel's right to exist and defend itself from foreign military and terror threats.

On supporting American communities, Matthew supports rebuilding America first through intelligent infrastructure planning as opposed to special interest bailouts.
